Swim 4 The Ocean | Documentary Series

Editor

Swim 4 the Ocean is a community-driven ocean conservation project that combines long-distance swimming, storytelling, and grassroots advocacy to raise awareness about marine protection. Through organized swims, public events, and digital media, the project highlights threats to coastal ecosystems—plastic pollution, habitat loss, and climate impacts—while celebrating the resilience of ocean communities and the scientists, volunteers, and activists working to protect them. Each swim is designed to connect people directly with local waterways, turning personal endurance into a platform for measurable environmental action, fundraising, and policy engagement.

As the editor of the accompanying web series, I shaped the narrative voice and visual rhythm that tie individual swims and interviews into a cohesive story. I coordinated with the filmmakers, writers, and subject-matter experts to ensure accuracy and emotional clarity, managed episode structure and pacing, and oversaw postproduction to deliver accessible, engaging episodes. My role balanced journalistic rigor with creative storytelling, making complex conservation issues relatable while preserving the authenticity of the swimmers and communities featured.
